Looking Back: Kaden turns 7

* I am going to try to blog a few times a week about our summer highlights.

7! I can't believe he is 7! I mean people as young as I am don't have 7 year olds - right?! Ha - okay maybe I'm not so young anymore! The years are flying by and we had our first slumber party to celebrate Kaden's birthday.

June 3rd - his actual birthday celebrated with swimming and ice cream cake!

June 8Th - Slumber Party at the Barron
5:00 -Boys arrive and we start off with Pizza. Gotta fuel up for the night!
5:30 - Games, Races, and fun! Biggest hits: 3 -legged races & lazer beam obstacle course.

6:00 - Legos- They made some really cool stuff.

6:30 - Cupcakes & presents

7:00- We went to the park so the Theatre could actually open and so we could run off some of that sugar!
8:00 -We got back just in time to watch Kung Fu Panda 2
11:00 - After more running & playing we were finally starting to get sleepy - well except me- I had been sleepy for hours!

Happily everyone made it all night!

Donuts and a pillow fight in the morning and everyone was ready to go home.

The whole group minus Jack.

It was a great experience and went really well. I will probably attempt one again but next time, I don't think I will try to pull one off while pregnant! It took me days to catch up on sleep!

Pumpkin Patch 2011

I LOVE fall for so many reasons but one of them is our annual visit to the pumpkin patch. As always we had a GREAT time! We could have spent a lot longer there this year as the boys are finally ALL at an age to really enjoy everything. I didn't think to take many pictures. I tried to get one when we first walked in but I should have held my ground and told the boys they had to pose again in better lighting, but I didn't so here is the best picture I got.

There were LOTS of little pumpkins this year and the boys filled their arms full!

Kyler's one prized pumpkin.

Jack insisted on a big green one.

We always meet our Sunday School class there for hot dogs and smores!

The number of kids have multiplied over the years!

The kids came home tired, sugared up, and smelling like a campfire! It doesn't get much better then that!

Our Life Lately

Just a recap of the last couple of weeks. Things have been busy! I shouldn't be surprised but when life picks up speed it seems to catch me off guard every time! Ha! Why does it surprise me that committing to even just one extra thing causes everything I normally do to spin out of control? Lately, "the extra" has been preparing for Kaden's school fundraiser. I was on the ticket team so that meant spending time every morning at his school counting tickets & money...that extra hour or two everyday meant my house was a mess! But it was worth it because Fun Night was a success! Here are a few pics.

Body art seemed to be the theme of the night.

After this my shift started so that was all the pictures I have of Fun Night.

My boys home from Wacky hair night at AWANA.

Kaden and I at Muffins for Moms at his school.

And around here we still play soccer in the rain. This was just the start of a pretty much perfect Saturday.

And that about covers that last 2 weeks.

I'm Back!

I can't believe I went ALL summer long without a single post! We had a great summer that was busy and EXHAUSTING mostly due to the boys activities and also to:

Yes, that is Baby #4!
We found out about this new little addition on the day of my last post - our 10 year anniversary! What a precious gift for our family! We are very excited to welcome this baby around February 1st, 2012!

So, now that this little blessing isn't draining all my energy and the boys are in school at least part time. I hope to catch up my blog from the summer as well as keep up...well at least until February, when the chaos begins...again!
