Today my dad started his adventure. He left Kansas City this morning and will be staying at a Hiker Hostel (in Georgia) tonight. Then tomorrow he will begin the Appalachian Trail. I can't remember how long the trail is something like 2100 miles and it will take 5-6 months. This is a dream come true for my dad. We will sure miss him but look forward to hearing about his journey. Please keep him in your prayers for a safe trip. You can follow his hike on his trail journal (link under blogs i read).
