10 Year Anniversary

It's an exciting day for our little family! Today Tim and I celebrate our 10th anniversary! Although, this little video captures so many fun moments over the last 10 years only Tim and I are probably the only ones who know the "reality" behind most of those moments. Like how much work it takes to get everyone dressed, smiling, and looking at the camera! Ha! Or maybe that in one of the pictures Kaden threw up all over the restaurant 30 seconds after the picture and so we took all our food to go, in the fair picture it was pouring rain, and I never thought we would get to Kyler's first birthday - 3 little boys at home - I just didn't think we would make it! When Jack was born within that week Tim dislocated his ankle and had surgery and I got really sick. Neither of us could take care of our 2 year old and newborn....of course the pictures don't show these things. I do wish I had more pictures (with Tim and I in it) that showed what most days look like...maybe that will be a goal for the next 10 years. I do love this song though. We have definitely danced in the minefields and sailed some storms! The first 6 years were a breeze...year 7 & 8 not so much...but 9 & 10 have been the BEST by far!
So Tim, After 10 years and 3 Crazy kids I STILL DO! Here's to the next 10!

Graduation

My youngest cousin Shandee graduated from high school this year! How can that be? Anyway, we had a fantastic weekend at her graduation.

You can't tell very well from this picture but this school, which is 3A, has an orchestra! Most schools even quite a bit bigger than that don't have that. The music was beautiful!

One of the highlights of this weekend, for the boys, was getting to stay at Aunt Carol's house. She had a golf cart and kittens! Oh the boys were in HEAVEN! I just hope their grass recovers and the kittens weren't too traumatized. Ha!

Mother's Day 2011

I Love my Boys! Even though they changed out of their church clothes before we could get a picture.

And they got me Shari's Berries! These HUGE strawberries are soooo good! They got me a dozen and I shared very few! Supposedly, they are picked, dipped, shipped, and received all in the same day! Good choice guys!

Easter 2011

The Boys getting up and discovering their baskets.

We didn't get a family picture, which I can't believe! Before church just didn't happen and then after church the boys started taking their clothes off & getting dirty before I could get one in. UGH! It may have to be staged later.

Hunting Eggs

The kids checked out their loot.

Dying Eggs

This isn't a great picture but I made the little boys ties using this tutorial from the Purl Bee. It is so EASY and they turned out so cute!

Stitches x2

Part One: Jack Obey your parents!
We were at Tim's office eating lunch because I thought it would be faster and cheaper on a busy day. Tim and I were talking while making Easy Mac and the boys were doing their typical thing at daddy's office...writing notes, getting drinks, messing around with things they shouldn't. Jack came and grabbed a knife. I took it from him and told him he couldn't have a knife. He left but at some point must have come back to get it. So the next thing we know we hear Jack wimper and realize that he was trying to cut a mini carrot with the knife he wasn't supposed to have. Long story short it took four stitches and lunch wasn't short....Should have gone through McDonalds. At least it provided a precious lesson for Jack.

Part Two: Kaden's Turn
Less then a week later...I got a call from Kaden's school that he had gotten hurt on the playground and they thought it needed stitches. Which he did. Apparently, he had jumped from one bar to another and the only part of his body to make it was his chin. Just playing like a boy at recess!

Just Another Day in Paradise

 Today:

Got Kaden & Jack off to school with hubby at 7:50.

Picked up the house, double & triple checked my schedule for the day, did 4 loads of laundry. Found Legos in the dryer's lint trap.

Went to town with Kyler. Stopped at a second hand store to get some things for a project I am working on. (which will hopefully be blogged about when I finish it)

Ran into the Barron to check last nights numbers and deposit. Made a list of about 100 things I need to do there.

Went to pick up Jack from preschool.

Took the boys to a preschool screening. Found out I need to take Jack to the eye doctor and Kyler needs a speech eval.

The boys and I went by Tim's office for lunch where Jack cut his finger - badly.  Needs stitches.

First, dropped cupcakes, juice, and treat bags off at Kaden's school to celebrate his summer birthday.

Took Jack for stitches. Bit my lip so I didn't cry when he did. He got 4. I felt every one.

Went home for Ky's nap and let Jack recover from that traumatic experience in front of the TV. I made some phone calls for the Barron.

Now it's 3:40 and we are waiting for Kaden to get home from school. The evening will be eventful - I'm sure.  There WILL be playing, potato planting, a Barron trip, praise band practice, dinner, baths, reading, and some unplanned things as well.

It's just another fabulous, precious day!  But, also a snapshot of how our days are going and why my blog has been completely ignored!
