Some battles just aren't worth fighting

Here is what Kaden chose to wear to the park.
It was only 95 degrees when we went. But we told him he could if he took a t-shirt with him. We are trying to work on his decision making (per love & logic). This one kind of backfired or showed us a 4 year old doesn't have any logic. He never took off the sweatshirt or even took the hood off! The park is pretty shaded but still. There were some other parents who looked at us and him pretty funny. We had just bought the sweatshirt so maybe that was the motivation?
And he wonders why we don't let him make the big decisions (bed time, what & when to eat, etc.).
