Things are going to get a little crazy...

Our big news is finally making the blog. Baby #3 will be here in September! It wasn't a secret we wanted another one (maybe 2 more) but this was definately sooner then planned. For those of you who know me well know I am a planner and pretty much wait for the stars to align before I make any kind of big decision. Okay not really but you get the point. I guess there might be someone else with plans for me. I am not sure I am ready for this and kind of ignored it for the first month. But after hearing the heartbeat and realizing my clothes are getting tight it is becoming more real. I think I am almost 12 weeks. I haven't had a sono yet to determine my due date but I think my guess is close.

Oh, and I love the comments from parents of 3! My favorite: Two is crazy but manageable - Three is insane. Great. Yes everything about 3 terrifies me. Which is saying something because I didn't think twice about 1 or 2. When we were traveling we kept asking ourselves what in the world are we going to do with 3? I mean look at what it takes to get through the airport with 2 kids and 2 carseats. Oh well somthing to worry about next year. So if you have 3 (or more) tell me your stories that way at least I will be prepared!

Different personalities

This week we have really seen the differences between Kaden and Jack. Kaden was almost terrified of the water. I am not really sure when this happend. He wouldn't even jump off the side this time. He liked to play in the shallow water but wouldn't even try to "swim" with water wings. Jack on the other hand was a very dangerous little guy. He would just walk to the edge and jump in or run straight for the ocean reguardless of how big the waves were. I am going to have to get them both in swimming lessons for very different reasons.

It is really fun to see their different personalities especially since they look a lot alike and are getting closer to the same size.

Quotes from Kaden:
"Why are Jack and I still in our pajammas?" - It was almost 10:00 and we had been up for like 3 hours. I told him that was a sign of a good vacation. He disagreed. I guess sleeping in is one thing to look forward to with teenagers.

Oh and Tim got several comments on his driving. Mostly to slow down or drive in slow motion. Driving in Mexico is pretty scarry. They have speed limits but aren't really enforced.
More to come when we get home.

I will be back...

Sorry I haven't been around lately. We are on vacation this week. We are enjoying a week in Mexico. It is so nice to be in the hot sun! Anyway there will be lots of pictures to share in the next week when we get back.
Pray for safe travel (Thursday) or at least for the people sitting next to us on the plane. We are definately "those people". You know the ones you roll your eyes at when you realize they are sitting by you. Or the cute kids in the airport that you pray aren't sitting anywhere near you or are even on your flight. Actually the kids did really well on the way here which means we are due for some crying/tantrums on the way home!

A look back at Christmas

I don't have many pictures from Christmas (camera situation from previous post). But I just wanted to share a few pics my inlaws had on their camera.

Here is the joint gift Santa brought the boys. It didn't work well on the ice but we went out to try it out anyway. No the boys didn't have on coats (actually they still had on P.J.'s). The excitement was enough to keep them warm for the short time they were out.

And some cookie decorating fun with the cousins. What a mess - but so worth it!

I think Karoline & Jack (the two 1-year-olds) were mostly eating the finished products! The cookies were so good - if you like a lot of frosting. Even the thinest sugar cookie can end of several inches thick if you layer sprinkles and frosting!

Eating Pizza Tacos! What else to you feed 6 hungry kids on a sugar high?

Happy 29th Birthday Tim!

(for real this year)

Tim's birthday is the day after Christmas so the festivities always continue an extra day. Kaden insisted his dad get a dinosaur cake. So we worked hard and it turned out pretty cute.

Jack's Firsts

Jack got his first haircut a few days ago. Now he really looks like a big boy! He got to sit on the same horse Kaden sat on for his first haircut. In fact I think his daddy and his grandpa sat on the same horse for their first haircuts. Anyway he did great. Of course, Kaden had prepared him. He had told him he couldn't cry and he had to sit still. When we got there I thought Kaden would go first to show him what to do but he insisted Jack go first. We are noticing Kaden is great at coaching Jack to do things but then backs out and makes him go first. After - The Reward
And Jack's first almost bad cut. It didn't need stitches but did require a little care from a nurse. I am actually really surprised Jack hasn't had an ER visit yet. With as much as this little guy climbs and jumps it will happen soon. The other day I caught him by the ankles. He was launching himself over the back of the couch head first.

It looked a lot worse in person!

Jack now knows where his grandma keeps the m&m's! Everytime we walk in their house he goes to check the drawer to see if there are any there.

Making Snowmen ... Boy Style

Okay so I let everyone know our blog address and then we had an ice storm. Our internet still has not recovered. I have it early in the morning and late in the evening. If any of you smart tech people can explain this let me know. Anyway we have someone who is going to come fix it soon. So I will be back! Oh and our power did return just in time for Christmas!

We had so much fun in the snow. This was Kaden's first snowman experience. If we would have had a few more days of snow we could have made a whole family!

As cute as the pirate & cowboy snowmen were and we had other cute ideas as well (fireman, alien to name a couple). I really wanted to make a princess snowman but as the only girl I was voted down. Oh well maybe someday I will have someone to vote on my side!

Baby its cold outside (and inside too)!

Well, it is actually not cold in our house anymore thanks to a generator. What a blessing it has been! Our power went out on Monday and is well still out. We did get the generator going on Tuesday. It actually gives us heat, water, and light. What more could I ask for? I am still looking forward to getting our actual power back though. We can only run one appliance at a time. Which, really I am not complaining about. I just can't believe what a convenice it is to be able to turn what ever on - when you want it. I look forward to runing the washer, dryer, dishwasher, and stove all at the same time!Crazy I know. Anyway, I just thought I would let you all know we are okay and actually making lots of great memories in this Ice/Snow storm. More to come later.
